NEW AMERICAN MARITIME CONGRESS WEBSITE GOES LIVE

WASHINGTON, DC - The American Maritime Congress announced today that its newly revamped website has gone live. The site, which replaces the old AMC website, was designed to be a "one-stop shop" for information on the United States Merchant Marine for use by the general public and Congress.

"In today’s world, having a good looking, professional website is key for any trade association," said AMC Executive Director Brian Schoeneman. "We hope that the information we provide on our site will be used by the public, the media and our government to increase awareness and understanding of the vital importance of the American merchant marine to the economic and national security of the United States."

The site includes information on AMC, the various governmental programs that support the maritime industry, current legislative initiatives and press releases and news items from AMC regarding important maritime industry events.

The site is part of an on-going reorganization of the American Maritime Congress that began following the retirement of long-time AMC President Gloria Cataneo Tosi.

The website was designed by American Eagle.com, one of the leading website design companies in the United States.

The website may be viewed at www.americanmaritime.org
